How do I get out of the new "move/edit" function?

Q: How do I get out of the new "move/edit" function? It shows the outline of the text block, but I can't make the outline go away when I've changed my mind about moving it.
A: This routine, available only in version 2.3, assumes you want to move an envelope text block or graphic after you select the "Move" menu item you need. (You can select the item to be moved from Move in the main menu or right click the block and select Move from the popup menu.) If you select an item, then change your mind about moving it, left click on the block to close the routine.

Q: Although I like this program, I can't get the logo where I want it. I tried my best to place it where I wanted it, but failed. Can you help?
A: Text and graphics on an envelope can be moved by selecting Configure | Envelopes | Adjust Envelope Text in the main menu. You need to type in the distance from the top and left of the envelope to the top and left edge of the text or graphic. In Version 2.3 of Easy Mail, there is a very easy way to drag and drop envelope and label text, and graphics. Please feel free to download a copy if you wish.

Q: How do I change the size of the font in the address field? It appears to be such a simple procedure, but I just can't make it work.
A: Prior to version 2.3 of Easy Mail, we did not do a very good job of sizing screen fonts. The actual printouts use the selected font, but this did not show up clearly on the screen. We have fixed this in Version 2.3. Feel free to download a copy if you like.

Q: How do I get two alternate return address, both under my name? Unfortunately, one replaces the other, rather than calling themselves norman-1 and norman-2.
A: Easy Mail uses the first line of the return address as the address identifier, so it can not accept two that are identical. Try to find a way to make the first line of each slightly different. Or add a space after the end of the first line on one of them.

Q: I'm evaluating Easy Mail 2.1.2 and I'm finding that when I import my logo, which is round, it becomes egg shaped on my envelope. Any ideas?
A: When you load a logo, it loads into an arbitrarily shaped image holder. In versions prior to 2.3, select Configure | Envelopes | Adjust Envelope Text to set the logo width and height. In version 2.3, right click on the logo and select "Resize Logo" from the popup menu. Then drag the edges of the logo to get the shape you want.

Q: Can you place clip art on an envelope anywhere besides in the return address location?
A: You can move the logo to any position on the envelope. If you do, you need to turn off the preferences menu item "Shift Return Address to Right of Logo". Note that version 2.3 of Easy Mail makes this extremely easy to do.

Q: Can you add the metric envelope designations (e.g. C5, C6, DL) on the opening window Envelope buttons and on the Select Envelope buttons under Envelope Printing Options?
A: Beginning with version 2.1, Easy Mail supports these metric sizes, and adds these captions to the buttons. Switch from US to Metric envelopes by selecting Configure | Use Metric Sizes in the main menu.

Q: Can you help me configure a logo and return address on a small envelope? I set the left margin for the return address to .30". I sized the logo to be .75" wide x 1.25" high. But the return address appears to the right of the logo instead of above. How do I fix this?
A: Easy Mail assumes you want the return address to be located to the right of the logo. If this is not what you want, uncheck the "Shift Return Address to Right of Logo" under Preferences. You can then put the logo anywhere you please.
